Blackmagic
Connect Blackmagic DeckLink capture devices directly to CameraGraph as a video source. Use professional capture cards to bring in HDMI, SDI, or other external video feeds alongside your cameras and screen shares.
Requirements
Section titled “Requirements”- A Blackmagic DeckLink capture device connected to your Mac
- The Blackmagic Desktop Video driver installed
Once the driver is installed and a device is detected, a Blackmagic option will appear in your add menu.
Adding a Blackmagic Source
Section titled “Adding a Blackmagic Source”- Open the Add menu in your scene
- Select Blackmagic
- Choose your device from the device dropdown in the inspector
- The video feed will appear in your scene - position and resize as needed
CameraGraph auto-detects the input format of your Blackmagic device. If the signal changes (e.g., switching from 1080p to 720p), the resolution updates automatically.

Multiple elements can also share the same device - CameraGraph manages a single capture stream per physical device and distributes frames to all subscribers.
- Ensure your Blackmagic device is connected and powered on before launching CameraGraph
- If your device isn’t appearing, verify the Desktop Video driver is installed via the Blackmagic Desktop Video Setup utility
- Use Frame Delay to sync your Blackmagic feed with audio if you notice lip-sync issues
- Blackmagic sources support the same background removal, chroma key, and mask features as the Camera element
